This personal project arises in response to the excessive consumption prevalent in today’s society, emphasizing the need to foster sustainability and a circular economy. On this platform, users have the opportunity to rent, donate, and lend their everyday tools or objects.
The platform is connected to collection points, improving consumption habits, reducing waste, and mitigating the impact on the planet. The project is grounded in conducting a comparative analysis (benchmark) of different sites, utilizing the philosophy of circular design with the planet and people at its core.

We created the name “HAND HAND,” using repetition to evoke the idea of direct exchange or manual action. The brand conveys the concept of direct connection, active participation, and a practical approach to the exchange of consumer goods. The logo is composed of lines and stains, denoting simplicity and conveying reliability, robustness, and exchange between users.
A style guide has been developed for both the brand and the digital platform. This guide specifies all necessary graphic elements and standards to create coherence and consistency in the digital brand identity. Additionally, a DSM (Design System Manager) has been created to provide flexibility and control to the design.
The design of the HAND HAND site has been created to be usable on both desktop web versions and mobile devices. Its content architecture is shallow to enhance navigation on more restricted devices. The UI has been developed under the HTML standards of the Bootstrap 5.0 framework.
Users registered on HAND HAND have the opportunity to earn “Green points,” share their objects, and reserve them at the nearest object library to their home. On the platform, they can measure the reduction of the carbon footprint for both rented and borrowed objects.
